IP Touch Screen Remote Microphone

The remote microphone shall be designed for use within an IP audio communication system. Audio from an included gooseneck microphone and an analogously connected audio source shall be transmitted to other devices via an IP network. It shall be possible for outgoing transmissions to address at least 2999 destinations at once. Addressing third-party audio devices shall be possible at least via multicast audio using open protocols. Recordings of all transmitted audio and log files shall be storable on an external network drive. 

The remote microphone shall allow the playback of chimes and pre-recorded audio files stored in other devices in the network.

The remote microphone shall be able to activate an emergency mode for itself and other devices in the network. This mode shall deactivate low priority audio transmissions for those devices. The remote microphone shall be able to perform high priority emergency broadcasting and activate high priority pre-recorded audio files that can be transmitted despite an active emergency mode.

The remote microphone shall provide the possibility to manually record an audio file via the integrated microphone, pre-listen the recording through a monitor speaker, and play the file back at selectable destinations via the network. If all selected destinations are occupied by other transmissions, the playback shall be automatically delayed until the destinations are available again. Destinations addressed via multicast audio do not need to be considered regarding the delay.

Per-channel input volume adjustments shall be possible via setting software. Each audio channel shall provide further software-controlled DSP settings. Each audio input shall provide at least a 2-band EQ filter, a compressor, automatic gain control, and automatic speech enhancement.

It shall be possible to set an audio input as low priority source that reacts to higher priority sources by reducing its own volume. Attenuation, fade in time, and fade out time shall be adjustable via setting software.

System sounds for pre-chime, post-chime, emergency pre-chime and emergency post-chime shall be separately customizable.

The remote microphone shall be able to detect, display and forward at least the disconnection from the network, upload of a mismatching settings file, abnormal DC power supply and abnormal CPU temperature.

A touch screen LCD shall provide the possibility to start and stop audio transmissions, activate and deactivate control outputs, display device faults, display the time, change DSP settings, change timer patterns, and monitor the video feed of ONVIF profile S-compliant IP cameras. All mentioned LCD control options shall not be limited to control of the remote microphone itself but shall also include the control of other devices in the network. A manual device self-check shall be available.

The LCD shall provide setting options, at least to set the brightness of the display, set the automatic display turn off time, and turn the fault buzzer on and off.

The remote microphone shall provide at least two network ports for redundant network connections.

The setting software shall be supplied with the product.
